New UK email law and new Email tools
Read these updates if you manage email marketing and you want to keep it legal and check delivery and display in different readers.
New UK Email and Website Law
The new law isn't one to get fantastically excited about since it doesn't concern privacy. However, it is a legal obligation for all companies that use websites and emails for marketing, so its worth checking it out.
Fortunately, its not too onerous, just a matter of disclosure of company addresses. The 2006 revision to the 1985 Companies Information Act came into force on January 1st 2007 which specifies how UK Limited Companies should display company information on their web sites and within e-mails.

New Email tools
I have blogged about quite a few different software tools to help you create, deliver, broadcast and test emails for how they look in different readers and whether they are likely to be caught by spam filters.
I have now collected them together on this single page.
Please bookmark this article if you found it useful (just two clicks).
Please add your comments, experiences or link suggestions to inform me and other visitors to my site.
I've set it up to be quick, but you can't add true hyperlinks - just text.
Thanks, Dave Chaffey.
