Internet marketing videos - YouTube
Internet marketing videos on YouTube. These videos from 2006/7 are broken down into ones talking about the characteristics of digital media / Web 2.0, viral marketing and principles of digital media strategy. I have mainly compiled them for lecturers and trainers - I feature them on my training courses and lecturing - a great way to learn in bite size chunks and break up the delivery. Also includes E-marketing webcasts at base. Added Cadbury & Wonderbra spoof (at base).
Characteristics of digital media
The Break Up
This ad by Microsoft highlights the need to things differently with digital media to make it more customer centric and highlights how annoying old world media can be.
Web 2.0 explanation
A classic video explaining Web 2.0 which uses a simple but effective way of showing the difference between old and new media.
World Economic forum
This is non-You Tube video discussing the impact of social media and web 2.0.
Internet marketing strategy videos
There aren't so many of these - I will have to make some soon :).
The difference between strategy and tactics
This is a basic explanation and is the most popular for this keyphrase, but can be repetitive.
Viral Marketing videos
Sonia Bravia advert
One of the most successful viral videos associated with a global ad campaign and at the time well integrated with the Sony site.
Cadbury - Gorilla video
This was pre-released on the web before being aired on TV and generated millions of views. I find that half of a UK audience at least has seen this.
Cadbury - Wonderbra video
This was a spoof by Wonderbra imitating the Gorilla one. It didn't get so many views but generated some good discussions about the merits of the girl's drumming - version now taken down due to copyright infringement.
A synced Cadburys / Wonderbra video mashup is currently available
Dove Evolution
> 5 million views for this ad which was part of the Dove Campaign for Real Beauty.
Free E-marketing webcasts
These are available from the American Marketing Association E-marketing Webcasts page - some are members only, but many are free. Although they are from vendors they explain concepts such as Web analytics which may be useful for students.
